Frequently Asked Questions
All sessions begin with a complimentary consultation call and are required before booking can be finalized.
This conversation allows us to discuss your vision, expectations, desired style, location preferences, and any special details that may impact your session. It also provides an opportunity to review pricing, package options, policies, and answer any questions you may have before making a commitment.
The consultation helps ensure that we are the right fit for one another, that the session type selected will meet your needs, and that I can properly prepare for your experience. Taking the time to plan ahead allows for a smoother process, better communication, and ultimately stronger final results.
Because this consultation is an essential part of my workflow and preparation process, appointments scheduled without completing a consultation may be canceled or postponed until the consultation has been completed.
After your consultation has been completed, you can book your session directly through the website. At the time of booking, your deposit is collected, you will sign your photography agreement, and your appointment is automatically added to the calendar.
This also creates or updates your client profile, giving you access to your client portal where you can view appointments, track payments, access invoices, and manage credits or coupons.
The booking form serves as your photography agreement. It must be read in full before submitting, as it outlines the terms you are agreeing to by securing your session, including policies, payment terms, and session expectations.
Appointments are not considered valid until the consultation has been completed. If a booking is made without completing the consultation, the appointment may be canceled and the date released.
Step 3 may vary by client. For some clients, their initial consultation may cover all the necessary details. For others, their initial consultation may just cover basic questions and an overall idea, and later require additional planning.
In that case:
After booking, we'll begin planning your session details. Depending on the type of session, this may include discussing wardrobe choices, colors, themes, props, locations, digital backdrops, special requests, and any important details you'd like incorporated into your images.
Relax and enjoy the experience! I'll guide you through posing, expressions, and natural interactions throughout your session. My goal is to create a comfortable environment while capturing authentic, beautiful images you'll love.
You will also receive an email detailing things you may want to bring to your session, such as lotion, extra makeup, a hairbrush, etc. Bringing a friend is encouraged, especially for shy clients; and a parent or guardian is required for all minors.
Within approximately 48 hours after your session, you will receive a temporary proof gallery. These images are lightly prepared, unedited beyond basic adjustments, and will include a watermark.
This gallery is used for image selection. You will choose your final images and may leave specific notes on individual photos (such as minor distractions, expression preferences, or cropping adjustments).
Standard clean-up edits—such as removing temporary distractions (lint, dust on backdrops, stray hairs, or wardrobe slips like straps)—are included automatically and do not need to be requested.
Optional retouching, including more detailed or feature-based adjustments, can be requested and will only be completed with client consent before final delivery.
Final images are delivered with a professional standard in mind. Any image that does not meet portfolio quality will not be delivered.
