   The Living Legacy Portrait Project was created to honor the elders, matriarchs, patriarchs, caretakers, storytellers, and quiet foundations of our families and communities through timeless portraits.

Photography becomes history faster than we realize. These portraits are meant to preserve more than appearances—they preserve presence. The hands that raised generations. The smiles families know by heart. The faces connected to stories, traditions, and memories that deserve to be carried forward.

   A huge part of why this project exists comes from the photographs I have of my own family and ancestors. Many of those images were created by my mother, who was also a photographer for nearly 30 years. Some of the people in those photographs are no longer here, and those images have become priceless pieces of family history. I know firsthand how meaningful it is to have portraits of the people who shaped us.

Once each month, one nominee will be selected to receive a complimentary fine art portrait session through Kailey Tucker Photography.

Selected nominees will receive:
• A complimentary portrait session
• 3 professionally edited digital images
• Access to optional additional image and product purchases (never required)

​

Sessions may take place:
• In studio
• In-home
• Assisted living or nursing facilities
• Hospice or hospital settings
• Outdoors or another meaningful location, when possible

​

This project is open to elders from all walks of life. There are no income requirements, applications for financial need, or eligibility verification processes involved. No one will be asked to “prove” anything.

However, the heart behind this project is to help create meaningful portraits for individuals who may have never had professional portraits taken before, or who may not have current portraits documenting this season of life.

Nominations will remain active in the monthly drawing, so there is no need to reapply each month. Once submitted, nominees will remain entered unless:
• They are selected for a session
• The family requests removal from the project
• Or the project is discontinued for any reason in the future

​

Please do not nominate someone solely because the session is complimentary. My hope is for these sessions to go to individuals and families who genuinely value the meaning and legacy behind portrait photography.

A few important notes:
• Submission of a nomination does not guarantee selection
• Sessions are limited and availability may vary month to month
• Transportation is not provided
• Outdoor or on-location sessions may depend on weather, travel distance, accessibility, safety, and scheduling availability
• A signed photography contract and model release may be required prior to the session
• Nominees or their legal guardians/family representatives must be able to consent to participation and photography
• Kailey Tucker Photography reserves the right to respectfully decline or discontinue any nomination or session request at any time

I genuinely believe photographs become part of a family’s history. Generations from now, these images may become some of the most treasured things left behind.
