Maternity Session
What to Bring: Wardrobe Options: Flowy dresses, form-fitting outfits, or classic gowns in neutral or pastel tones work beautifully for maternity portraits. Feel free to bring two or three outfit options for variety. Accessories: Consider simple jewelry, a flower crown, or scarves that enhance your look without overwhelming it. Personal Touches: Bring any meaningful items, such as baby shoes, ultrasound images, or a sentimental keepsake, to incorporate into the session. Touch-Up Kit: Pack makeup, hair products, and any grooming essentials for quick touch-ups. How to Prepare: Rest Up: Get plenty of rest the night before so you feel refreshed and radiant for your session. Eat Light: Have a light meal before arriving to stay energized. If needed, bring water or a small snack to keep you comfortable. Plan Ahead: If you’re scheduling hair, makeup, or nail appointments, aim for 1–2 days before the session for a polished look. Newborn Session
For Baby: Feeding: Plan to feed your baby just before the session for a content and sleepy state. Clothing: Dress your baby in loose clothing that is easy to remove to avoid marks on their skin. Diapers should be snug but not too tight. Special Items: Bring any sentimental items you’d like included in the photos, such as blankets, toys, or heirlooms. For Parents and Siblings: Coordinate outfits in soft, neutral tones for a timeless look. Avoid bold patterns and logos. Make sure nails are clean and neatly trimmed, as hands often feature in the photos. If siblings are participating, bring snacks or a quiet activity to keep them engaged during downtime. What to Expect During the Session Relaxed Atmosphere: Newborn sessions are designed to be calm and stress-free, with plenty of time for feeding, changing, and soothing. Posing Safety: Your baby’s safety is my top priority. All poses will be done with care and support to ensure their comfort. Variety of Shots: We’ll capture a mix of individual newborn portraits, parent shots, and family group images based on your preferences. After Your Session You’ll receive a temporary online gallery within 2-3 days, to view and select your favorite images. Once chosen, your photographer will complete your album and deliver it within a 2-3 week period, unless otherwise stated. Additional images and prints will be available for purchase. If you have any specific ideas, preferences, or questions, don’t hesitate to reach out before your session. I look forward to working with you and creating memories you’ll treasure forever.
